“Beauty Sleep”

The top layer of the skin is made of closely packed dead cells which are constantly shed during day. During deep sleep, the skin’s metabolic rate speeds up and many of the body’s cells show increased production and reduced breakdown of proteins. Since proteins are the building blocks needed for cell growth and for the repair of damage from factors like ultraviolet rays, deep sleep may indeed be beauty sleep. Your skin is able to absorb active ingredients better due to less exposure to sunlight.

The GUARDIAN ANGEL to  The skin has a thin acidic barrier known as the acid mantle, which sits at a pH (pH stands for Potential Hydrogen, and refers to acid-base balance). The acid mantle functions as a protective barrier against bacteria, fungi, viruses and environmental contaminants, so is very important for our skin’s health. Disruption of this protective barrier makes the skin susceptible to invading pathogens and toxins, and also results in dry, ultra-sensitive skin.  It may also lead to acne, rosacea and other stubborn skin conditions.

Role of the Acid Mantle

The friendly secretions and bacteria, work together in perfect harmony…

  • The Acid Mantle secretes enzymes, helping to break down sebum (oil)
  • It keeps the skin soft and supple, so that it stays free from cracks and abrasions
  • The acid mantle has a protective role on the skin
  • It boosts the immune system, which produces antigens close to the surface of the skin, antigens retard the growth of bad bacteria known as pathogens

the naked chemist:  pH of the Skin- The crucial factor for healthy bacteria is the level of acidity, known as pH.

A neutral pH is 7, Anything above that creates an ALKALINE environment, Anything below, creates an ACID environment.

Our skin has a pH of 5.57LoveJohnson-Acidic water-acid

There is good reason why our skin is so acid, because pathogenic bacteria thrive under alkaline conditions. This is why, it is really important that your skin care products are formulated without strong astringents, which have a real tendency to upset the delicate flora, the ingredients within a formula, must be gentle enough to keep the skin around the healthy pH level.

xo Candida- Yeast- Fungus

When I was young I would squash my nose up bc of allergies (which is why I have a ring in the middle of my n

ose), my eye lashes would have dandruff but, not my scalp (WTF was that about), my skin would itch at the sight of a mosquito… It brings tears to my eye just thinking about how I suffered with skin issues as a kid. I didn’t know I had this balled up in me so much until just now. I would wear long socks year around. When I graduated high school and TRULY learned how to take care of my skin and body, I gained so much confidence that I even began to danced (yep that kind lmao) shy and reserved but none the least with my cloths off; it was hard but I went in knowing it was the extreme to shedding the shame. I’m now at my balance , Glory be to GOD and Nature be my mission…

Skin cell regenerate much faster at night…  day sleep’s quality is far less than a good nights rest. We can never make up in the day for sleepless nights because, energy needed for tissue repair is not available during daylight due to the fact that it is being used elsewhere.

MY POINT! I DON’T EVER WANT TO FEEL ASHAMED OF MY BODY EVER AGAIN!
